These panels were junk. I built two suitcase style panel combos using four 170w rigid hinged together for my portable DIY power station. Works great if the ~44# weight isn't an issue, but I needed something that could reliably meet rated output to charge two 300ah batteries in a reasonable amount of time. It's worked great this summer to have A/C and a fridge when I go camping.
Not saying these are going to be 500W (more like 200W) but I have a few questions:
1. Did you remove the plastic shipping film?
2. Did you optimize their angle to the sun? (Looked like they were flat. Some panels have a very big drop if way off axis.)
3. Did you use at least 10AWG wire to the Ecoflow?
That charge controller is 10-15 bucks but it works OK for what it is. ( obviously you didn't use it for this test.)
Regardless, we need to get these fake 500W listings off Amazon. This reminds me when they would list lithium ion (18650) batteries as 10,000 mAh when the very best Panasonic cells could only hold 3400mAh at the time…
